Chapter 134 The Substitute Little Princess 21
Chapter 134 The Substitute Little Princess 21
When Edward sent Pauline out, he saw Chris walking back alone in a wheelchair. Chris was not crying, but he felt great grief and disappointment from her.
The sunlight behind her was extremely bright, but she was shrouded in an inextricable sadness that was about to swallow her completely.
Pauline untied the knot in her heart and greeted Chris with a smile.
"Chris, can you let Edward take you to our place next time? Thank you for helping me take care of Edward."
Tao Yao endured the discomfort and replied to Pauline with a smile on her face.
Tao Yao locked herself in the room and sat alone in the dark. She didn't know if it was the original owner's emotions or her own emotions, but a lot of bad memories just came to her mind.
In the dilapidated and dim house, the original owner was locked in a cage like a dog. Someone outside was making a phone call. It seemed like someone was calling the police. The kidnappers were enraged and were ready to kill the original owner to vent their anger.
She was taken out of the cage. Some people were speaking foreign languages, touching the original owner, and some were stripping her clothes off.
She was too small and cried and screamed so loudly that the kidnappers were annoyed by the noise. They picked up the iron rod next to them and hit the original owner's legs. The huge pain made her faint instantly.
She was in real pain, and after waking up, she had to force herself to smile and comfort her mother.
Tao Yao felt very uncomfortable. The original owner was only ten years old. She rarely brought the original owner's emotions into herself. But it was hard not to feel sorry for a child like Chris. She was abandoned and hurt, but in the end she blamed herself.
Anna and Molly stood in front of the door in silence, and her hand that was about to knock on the door paused.
Molly lowered her head in shame and cried silently, "Ma'am, I'm sorry. I said the wrong thing and made Chris sad. I shouldn't have said that."
Anna shook her head, "It's okay, Molly, I'm sure Chris will forgive you. Let's let her calm down, okay?"
The sun set, night fell, and there was a knock on the door.
"Chris, are you feeling unwell? Do you want me to read you a story?"
After Edward finished speaking, there was no sound from the door, so he asked again with some concern.
"Chris, you can tell me if you feel unwell. Have you forgotten? I am Princess Chris's knight. I will always be with you."
Tao Yao was lying on the bed, listening to the cicadas chirping outside, when suddenly someone knocked on the window a few times.
She got up and saw Edward's face outside the window. He was standing on the windowsill, holding the mended little bear knight in his hand.
The window was smashed by Edward, and the back of his hand was scratched by the glass and bleeding. With a smile on his face, he walked in carefully and put the little bear knight in Taoyao's hand.
"Chris, don't be afraid, we are with you."
From that day on, Taoyao became more attached to Edward than before. Edward coaxed her to sleep every day, and the two of them squeezed into one bed.
After Pauline returned, she put forward tough conditions to Josephine, and Josephine had to agree.
Anna successfully ousted Catherine through Josephine, but she was not confident in handing over the Angel Orphanage to others, so she had to take charge of it herself, and she became increasingly busy.
Time flies, and eight years have passed in the blink of an eye.
The blond man was wearing a white fencing suit. He took off his helmet as he walked, revealing his handsome face. The maid serving him blushed quietly.
Master Edward is so handsome, his face is so perfect that it doesn’t look like a real person.
A drop of sweat slid from his face to his chest, and Edward casually brushed his blond hair up.
"Is the young lady still taking a nap?"
The maid nodded shyly, "Yes, Master, Miss Chris is still taking a nap."
Edward glanced at the maid coldly, and lifted her chin frivolously with his gloved fingers. The maid was surprised to think that Edward liked her, but the next second, she was immediately sent to hell.
"You don't have to serve here anymore. Go pick up horse manure in the backyard from today. Since you like to horny people, why not horny horses?"
The maid turned pale and knelt on the ground crying and begging for mercy.
"Master, I won't dare to do that again. Please don't let me go to the backyard."
Serving in the front yard was less work and less busy, but there were a bunch of horses in the backyard, and she had to shovel horse manure and feed them every day. After a few days, she simply couldn't stand it.
Unfortunately, her plea did not soften Edward's heart. He changed his clothes and turned on the shower.
Molly was holding the invitation in her hand, hesitating whether to give it to Edward. A girl in her class fell in love with Edward and asked her to pass an invitation to him.
Although she and Edward lived together, Edward only had eyes for Chris these years. He would rush back to be with Chris as soon as he got out of school every day. Even so, he still had a bunch of suitors following him. Those silly girls all thought they could get Edward's favor, but it was a pity.
Seeing that the door was ajar, Molly pushed it open and prepared to secretly put the invitation on Edward's desk while he was taking a shower.
She had just placed the invitation on the table when she heard Edward's voice.
Edward's voice was low and hoarse, sounding painful. She took a few steps towards the bathroom with some confusion, and then heard his voice change from pain to joy.
As she got closer, she could clearly hear Edward calling Chris's name.
Molly was not a child who knew nothing. Girls of her age had already understood the things between men and women. She was both panicked and scared. She covered her mouth, pushed open the door and ran back to the room quickly.
Hiding behind the door, her heart was still pounding. She suddenly remembered the invitation. It was over. She left the invitation there. If Edward saw it, wouldn't he know she had been there?
If Edward found out that she knew his little secret, he would definitely kill her.
In the dim bedroom, the girl was sleeping soundly on the bed, her reddish-brown hair spread on the pink pillow, her beautiful face was as sweet as a peach, with rosy red lips, delicate and small facial features, her fair hands flat on her chest, and her skin like milk exuding bursts of fragrance.
The door was gently pushed open, and a shadow quietly covered the girl on the bed.
The slightly cool lips fell on her warm cheek, and the fingers caressed the tender red lips ambiguously. The hoarse and sticky voice was like the devil's whisper, tempting people to sink into it.
"Chris, my little princess, it's time to get up."
The girl who was woken up frowned unhappily, then slowly opened her emerald-like eyes.
Tao Yao looked at the stunningly handsome face in front of her, and the unhappiness of being woken up immediately disappeared.
She rubbed her eyes, her voice soft and sweet as if she had just woken up, and then she put her face on Edward's shoulder coquettishly.
"Edward, you're back."
