Chapter 233 Ghost Invasion
Chapter 233 Ghost Invasion
Mo Yuming closed his eyes slightly, concentrating his mind on engaging in close and in-depth information exchange with the crystal brain in his sea of consciousness.
When he learned that the enormous spaceship in front of him was actually the Black Sky warship that had attacked the Youfeng spaceship, he was shocked and stunned.
According to the detailed information provided by the tablet in hand, the Youfeng spaceship has always been hailed as the fastest of all spaceships.
Of course, the "fastest" mentioned here is only relative to other ordinary spaceships. Keep in mind that these interstellar spaceships operate at the speed of light! Even a mere one-second difference represents a difference of hundreds of thousands of kilometers in actual distance.
Moreover, at that time, as soon as the Youfeng detected the danger, it immediately activated the wormhole jump mode in an attempt to escape the enemy's pursuit.
However, what was unexpected was that in just over twenty hours, the enemy was able to track them down so quickly and accurately by following the clues.
Just how terrifying must their astonishing computing power be? And how superb must their tracking skills be? Mo Yuming simply couldn't imagine.
Is this the pinnacle of technological prowess in the world of science and technology? Faced with such a formidable foe, how should he and his companions respond...?
Mo Yuming was glad that he had erased the wormhole and traces leading to the solar system in time; otherwise, Earth's current technological capabilities would have been utterly inadequate in their presence.
Even without being specifically targeted, even during their battles, a moment's carelessness could result in being wiped out by leaked energy.
Fortunately, this is the darkest depths of space, with no light, so vision is useless here. Moreover, this is a technological world rather than a fantasy world, where all perception is based on remote sensing technologies such as radio waves and rays.
Therefore, it is relatively safe for Mo Yuming's soul form. However, it's a different story for the Youfeng spaceship. Even after transforming and disguising itself, and ceasing all operations, it is still struggling against powerful detection technology. There is always the possibility of being discovered.
Fortunately, there's a saying that goes, "the darkest place is under the lamp." As a top-tier spaceship, its opponent would never expect it to dock right in front of an enemy ship without any defenses.
Therefore, after tracking down the Black Sky battleship, the commander immediately dispatched aircraft to scout the surrounding area, while the main ship prepared for battle and was on alert for any possible attack.
However, it overlooks detecting nearby meteorite fragments. Even a chip with trillions of calculations per second cannot calculate that the target it is tracking will stop right next to it.
The spatial rift was next to the wormhole. Mo Yuming and the Youfeng spaceship were still some distance away. Fortunately, meteorites or asteroids in space fly around without a trajectory because there is no gravity in a vacuum. So as long as there is a very small amount of power, they will keep flying forward.
Therefore, the disguised Youfeng drifted slowly toward the wormhole entrance without arousing suspicion from enemy ships.
Several of the enemy ships' aircraft had returned and entered the ship. Mo Yuming was curious about what information they had gathered, so he made a bold decision and quickly followed one of the aircraft into the interior of the Black Sky Battleship.
The internal structure of the Black Sky Battleship is very different from that of the Ghost Phoenix; the interior is a huge space.
After entering through the bottom hatch, you arrive at this enormous space. In the center of the ship's cabin floats a massive island, over fifty feet in diameter and several feet thick. Inside the island are many compartments, where humanoid beings operate machines and analyze data. This island is the control center of the entire warship. The returning aircraft, after entering the cabin, do not land on the deck but float around the island.
After entering the cabin of the aircraft that Mo Yuming was following, it also flew to the side of the island and stopped. The hatch opened, and a robot stepped out of the aircraft. The robot entered the island through the passageway next to it and came to a large hall in the middle. Several similar robots were already standing in the hall. Opposite them stood another similar robot, but it was different in appearance, more exquisite in decoration, larger in size, and clearly of a higher status than these robots.
"One, three, four, two, return to the team. TY3¥* area exploration completed, no trace found."
"4, 2, 3, 1, return to the team... Area detection complete, no useful data detected."
……
Each robot that entered the hall reported its findings to the leader in turn. The results were always the same. However, the leader showed no expression upon hearing the reports; he simply waved for the robots to leave the hall after they had finished.
Although Mo Yuming couldn't understand their speech, the resonance of the core brain of the Youfeng spaceship allowed him to 'hear' the content of their conversation.
"That shouldn't be the case. The data shows there should be a wormhole exit nearby, so why can't we find it?" the leader asked, puzzled after hearing the report.
"If there really is no wormhole exit or flight path, it can only mean two things: either they turned back along the same route, erased the wormhole exit, and then flew freely, confusing their path to evade our pursuit; or the Youfeng flew here and stopped, hiding behind the meteorites or the back of the asteroid, waiting for an opportunity to launch a sneak attack!"
"Regardless, immediately search all asteroids and meteorites in the surrounding area..."
Just as the warship's captain was about to give his orders, the early warning system on the island suddenly went off.
"Warning! Ghost Invasion!"
While eavesdropping, Mo Yuming suddenly saw a red light on the display screen in front of the hall, displaying "Ghost Intrusion." Thinking he had been discovered, he was startled and immediately flew out of the warship as fast as he could.
During the flight, all the robots on the warship moved quickly, and the small flying vehicles floating in the air were also arranged in batches, ready to take off.
Mo Yuming flew very fast, leaving the warship in the blink of an eye and arriving outside the aircraft. However, he found that the warship's alarm did not detect him. Instead, another wormhole appeared in the void opposite the warship. Strangely, no spaceship flew out of the wormhole. Instead, it kept spewing out smoke. Soon, the smoke gathered more and more, eventually covering the wormhole's exit, which was over a hundred miles in diameter.
"What's happening here?"
Mo Yuming stood on the Youfeng and asked the crystal brain in his sea of consciousness, puzzled.
"This is a very mysterious bandit organization that often appears and disappears without warning, although both Juntian and Heitian are extremely powerful organizations in space."
However, they are also very wary of this ghostly existence. No one knows how powerful the Ghost Organization is, nor can they find their base or permanent location. Just as people call them, they will appear in front of you without warning, like ghosts, and then suddenly attack whoever you are.
Although they might not always defeat their opponents, even when they were defeated, they would escape with impunity, making it impossible for the enemy to catch them.
