Chapter 573: Drowning Sorrow in Alcohol

Chapter 573: Drowning Sorrow in Alcohol

Lin Moshi's face was as pale as paper, and he walked unsteadily into his small, dark room.

As soon as he entered, he slumped into the dilapidated chair like a deflated balloon, his body trembling slightly.

With trembling hands, he picked up the glass on the table and poured it into a glass of water.

He picked up the water glass, tilted his head back, and drank it all in one gulp, as if the water could calm the surging emotions in his heart.

After finishing her water, Lin Moshi slammed the cup down on the table, muttering to herself, "Lin Moshi! Lin Moshi! You're such a useless person! It's just a simple 'I like you', isn't it? You could have just said it bravely to her face! Why can't I even do something this simple?"

As he spoke, his face turned bright red, veins bulged on his forehead, and his frustration was palpable.

Then, he raised his hand and pounded his head hard, as if to vent all his regret in this way.

At this moment, his heart was churning like a raging sea, filled with deep disappointment and endless self-blame.

"It's water? How can it be water? If only it were wine!" He stared wide-eyed at the clear, still tea in the cup in front of him, muttering to himself.

As if ignited by an unnamed fire, he suddenly grabbed the teacup and angrily threw it to the ground.

With a sharp "crack," the teacup shattered into countless fragments that flew everywhere.

He didn't seem to be appeased by this, and instead casually pointed a finger at the table.

In an instant, a flash of light appeared, and a beautiful wine pot suddenly appeared out of thin air on the previously empty table.

This wine jug is crystal clear and decorated with exquisite patterns, emitting an enticing aroma of wine.

"Coal Ball!" he shouted Coal Ball's name again, his voice echoing in the empty room.

Upon hearing the call, the coal ball instantly emerged from a corner and quickly ran to its master, respectfully replying, "Master! You called me? What are your orders?"

Lin Moshi stared expressionlessly at the lump of coal in front of him, then said in a low but firm tone, "Drink with me!"

Upon hearing this, Coal Ball was taken aback. Its round eyes widened, its brows furrowed into a deep frown, and its mouth opened slightly, as if it wanted to say something but was speechless for a moment.

After a long while, she finally let out a gasp: "Ah...!"

Ignoring Coal Ball's surprised reaction, Lin Moshi continued to stare coldly at the other man, reiterating in an unquestionable tone: "This is an order!"

Seeing its master's determination, Coal Ball grew increasingly worried. It cautiously approached and whispered, "Master! Why do you suddenly want to drink? Have you run into some trouble? If so, you might as well tell me, maybe I can help."

Lin Moshi's lips curled up slightly, revealing a mocking sneer. He said in an icy voice, "Hmph, do you really want to help me?" His sharp gaze was fixed on the lump of coal in front of him, as if trying to see through its heart.

Coal Ball nodded hurriedly, his eyes firm and sincere, and replied hastily, "Yes, yes, yes...! Coal Ball really wants to help! There's absolutely no pretense in it!"
