Chapter 1639 - 1202: Got You_3
Chapter 1639 - 1202: Got You_3
"Why bring you along?" Hanna laughed in anger.
Qinna blinked: "Because I’m your mother, and you’re his woman?"
"Let’s not even get into whether that’s true, but I don’t recognize you as my mother, second witch Mistress."
"Then I can also be his woman."
"Hey!!!"
"Why do you look so surprised? When I taught you the Soul Faction from the family’s legacy, I required you to share your man with me, didn’t I?" Qinna chuckled, "I always yearn for what I can’t have, especially when it’s something you yearn for too; it makes me even more obsessed."
Hanna gritted her teeth: "Aren’t you ashamed or embarrassed at all?"
"I don’t remember cultivating you to be a girl who knows shame," Qinna sighed, "It’s all Banjee’s fault, you learned bad behavior when you ran away from home with him."
Hanna realized it was impossible to defeat Qinna in a verbal exchange, decisively shut her mouth, and opened the Gospel Book to inquire about Nona’s whereabouts. Qinna followed behind and asked, "But isn’t Ash on the run with several women? He didn’t take you along; doesn’t he like you enough?"
"Yes," Hanna calmly replied, "I’m his second in Sequence, maybe third in Sequence, or perhaps he has already forgotten about me."
"What then?"
"Nothing much, I’ll just be his Chief Witch. If he comes looking for me, I’ll accompany him for a few nights."
"What if he wants to take you away?"
Hanna hesitated, "Unless he makes me in charge of a nation."
"Do you have to be in power?" Qinna laughed, "I did try cultivating you to be a power-hungry politician."
"He already has many excellent women around him, even the place of a trophy has been taken by someone else." Hanna shrugged, recalling something, "Competing for his favor is not even in the queue for me, wielding great power suits me better."
"He may not like you enough, but what if you add me in the mix?" Qinna hugged her daughter, blinked, and smiled, "He doesn’t have a combination like ours among his women, does he?"
Hanna glanced at her: "Are you serious?"
"Who knows? Maybe just teasing my darling daughter," Qinna scratched Hanna’s chin, "or perhaps..."
"No worries." She patted Hanna’s back, "I respect survival of the fittest the most; when you were weaker growing up, I could bully you at will. Now you’re stronger, if you forbid me from finding Ash, then I won’t go."
"But when I catch up to you someday, don’t blame me for my whims."
Hanna gave her a surprised glance, shaking her head: "You won’t catch up to me, and... Ash won’t appear before us."
As the ruling elite of the Gospel, Hanna and Qinna were inevitably blessed by the Stars Blessing, making "maintaining the interests of the Star Cluster" their highest priority. They had no choice but to do so unless they were willing to abandon their family and country; otherwise, they had to become Dazzling Star nobles.
Now Ash is the most wanted fugitive of the five nations issued by the decree of Dazzling Star; the first reaction to seeing Ash would be nothing but ’report to the Star Cluster.’
"Ah, there is one more possibility."
"Hmm?"
"Ash is stronger than both of us now." Qinna shrugged her hands, "If he forces us, there’s nothing I can do."
Hanna burst out laughing, couldn’t help but laugh heartily: "Hahaha Ash forcing us..."
"Your sense of humor is really strange, I don’t remember raising such a peculiar daughter."
Qinna pushed open the door to the dressing room, seeing Nona sitting in front of the mirror with her back to them. Nona had previously repelled the Moon Shadow Werewolf Hilfan protagonist with one shot, which was witnessed by them, but Nona was merely a Golden Mage, theoretically unable to even capture Hilfan’s silhouette, and Hilfan’s body must be entwined with the Holy Domain. How did a non-Holy Sanctuary Mage Nona penetrate the Holy Domain?
They thought Nona might have had some adventure, and immediately came to inquire. But once they entered the dressing room, a huge sense of discord overwhelmed them; Nona sat silently in front of the mirror, seemingly deliberately luring them here, and the air was filled with a very comforting scent, akin to the smell of freshly sun-dried bedding, or the scent of food before entering the home...
The door behind them clicked closed, Hanna and Qinna looked at their backs through the mirror, seeing a vague silhouette—
See no evil, eyes blindfolded.
Hear no evil, ears plugged.
Speak no evil, mouth gagged.
Do no evil, body bound.
In an instant, the two Gospel Legendary Mages, the Chief Witch and Deputy Witch at the pinnacle of power, were attacked and rendered almost powerless, bound all of a sudden, eyes blindfolded, ears plugged, mouths gagged, hands and feet tied, pinned to the ground.
Hanna’s mind went blank, her body trembled uncontrollably, and before fear could grip her heart, she felt a hand lightly pressing on her nape, so gentle she could break free with a little effort. She relaxed like a cat whose nape is held.
As the scent gradually dissipated, she heard something being fastened around her neck, heard a crisp click through bone conduction. Immediately all restraints were released, and when she saw light again, Hanna squinted subconsciously, first seeing the concerned face of Nona, noticing suddenly that Nona was wearing a collar... she too was collared.
She turned her head, seeing a haunting figure half-knelt before her. In his hand, he held three ethereal chains, extending to the collars on her, Qinna’s, and Nona’s necks.
"Sorry, to avoid the Stars Blessing, I had no choice but to make you my prisoners." Ash looked at Hanna, recalling something unknown, and softly chuckled, "Young Miss, this time I’ve caught you."
"Hmm." Hanna’s eyebrows formed a gentle arc, her eyes sparkled, her lips tugged into a soft smile, "I’ve been caught by you."
