Chapter 260 Pregnancy
Chapter 260 Pregnancy
Qin Reng laughed upon hearing this, and reached out to pinch Yu Yuetong's cheek: "Do you think you're pretty?"
"Are you praising yourself?" Yu Yuetong rolled her eyes, but suddenly felt dizzy. She grabbed the car door, closed her eyes, and took a few deep breaths.
"What's wrong?" Qin Reng immediately noticed her unusual behavior and asked with concern.
"It's nothing, I'm probably just too tired." Yu Yuetong waved her hand, but froze the moment she opened her eyes.
She no longer saw her own face, but Qin Reng's handsome face with its sharp features.
"We...switched back?" She looked at her hands in disbelief; they were indeed her original slender fingers.
Qin Reng was also taken aback for a moment, then revealed a meaningful smile: "It seems that this method really works."
Yu Yuetong's face flushed instantly: "You knew all along?"
"No, I'm just guessing." Qin Reng straightened his collar. "After all, our first time switching places was under those circumstances."
Yu Yuetong blushed even more as she recalled that absurd wedding night: "So you...did this on purpose today?"
"Half and half," Qin Reng leaned closer to her, his breath hot against her ear. "I do want to try and see if I can get it back, but more than that, I... want you."
Yu Yuetong trembled and instinctively tried to push him away, but he grabbed her wrist.
"Don't even think about running away." His voice was low and dangerous. "Now that we've switched back, shouldn't we honor our previous agreement?"
"What agreement?"
"Get married," Qin Reng said, emphasizing each word. "Get married again."
Yu Yuetong bit her lip, remaining silent. She knew her situation was dangerous—her passport and ID card were in Qin Reng's hands, and if she really was pregnant…
"Thinking of an escape plan?" Qin Reng looked at her with a half-smile. "Don't waste your energy. From today onwards, I will keep a close eye on you."
"Are you threatening me?"
"No, I'm telling you this," Qin Reng suddenly said seriously, "Yu Yuetong, I will never let you leave me again. Even if you don't love me, I will keep you by my side."
His tone was firm, but his eyes held a hint of vulnerability, as if he were afraid she might really disappear. Looking at Qin Reng like this, Yu Yuetong's heart suddenly softened.
"Who said I don't love you?" she muttered softly.
Qin Reng paused, "What did you say?"
“I said…” Yu Yuetong took a deep breath, “If I really didn’t love you, I wouldn’t have…”
Before she could finish speaking, Qin Reng kissed her fiercely. The kiss was swift and intense, filled with an undeniable possessiveness, as if it wanted to devour her soul.
Yu Yuetong was stunned by the sudden kiss. She tried to push Qin Reng away, but he held her tightly in his arms. Only when she was almost out of breath did Qin Reng reluctantly release her.
"Are you crazy!" Yu Yuetong gasped, her cheeks flushed. "We're in the car."
Qin Reng, however, didn't seem to care. He gently stroked the corner of her lips with his fingers: "What, are you implying that I should go somewhere else?"
"You!" Yu Yuetong was furious and about to retort when she suddenly felt a wave of nausea. She covered her mouth, her face turning pale instantly.
Qin Reng immediately sensed something was wrong: "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Yu Yuetong shook her head, but the nausea grew stronger. She hurriedly pushed open the car door and rushed to the flower bed by the roadside to dry heave.
Qin Reng quickly followed, patting her back gently while taking out his phone to call a doctor.
"No need," Yu Yuetong waved her hand weakly. "I was probably too excited just now."
"Are you sure?" Qin Reng frowned. "Should we go to the hospital for a checkup?"
Yu Yuetong was about to say no, but then she suddenly thought of something, and her face turned even paler: "You think... could it be..."
Qin Reng was also stunned. The two looked at each other, both seeing shock and disbelief in each other's eyes.
"Impossible..." Yu Yuetong murmured, "We just switched back..."
"Why is it impossible?" Qin Reng's voice trembled slightly. "When we switched bodies before..."
Yu Yuetong's eyes widened: "You mean, back then..."
"We need to go to the hospital." Qin Reng grabbed her hand without waiting for a reply. "Let's go now."
"Wait!" Yu Yuetong struggled. "What if it really is... what should we do then?"
Qin Reng stopped and turned to look at her seriously: "What else can we do? Of course, we have to give birth to the child."
"But…"
"No buts." Qin Reng interrupted her. "This is our child. No matter what the circumstances of the pregnancy, I will take responsibility."
Looking into his determined eyes, Yu Yuetong suddenly smiled: "You know what? The way you are right now is just like how you used to look in company meetings."
"Back then, you were using my body to hold meetings," Qin Reng laughed. "Speaking of which, I haven't settled accounts with you yet. Do you know what you did with my body?"
"What did I do?" Yu Yuetong turned her face away guiltily. "I helped you secure several big projects."
“Yes,” Qin Reng said meaningfully, “it also helped me gain a large number of female fans.”
"Isn't that perfect?" Yu Yuetong blinked. "It boosts your popularity."
"Boost popularity?" Qin Reng sneered. "You have no idea how many women fawn over me every day."
"Oh?" Yu Yuetong raised an eyebrow. "So you're jealous?"
She regretted it as soon as she finished speaking. Because Qin Reng's eyes suddenly turned dangerous.
"Jealous?" He moved closer to her, step by step. "You think I'm jealous?"
Yu Yuetong instinctively stepped back until her back pressed against the car door: "I...I was just kidding..."
"A joke?" Qin Reng placed his hand near her ear. "Then let's go to the hospital now and see if this joke is big enough."
Yu Yuetong wanted to say something, but suddenly felt dizzy. She instinctively grabbed Qin Reng's arm, her face turning deathly pale.
"What's wrong?" Qin Reng immediately supported her swaying body, his voice full of worry.
"My head... feels so dizzy..." Before Yu Yuetong could finish speaking, she collapsed into Qin Reng's arms.
Qin Reng's expression changed drastically. Forget about hospitals, he scooped up Yu Yuetong and rushed to the nearest emergency room. On the way, he anxiously waited at a red light, repeatedly patting Yu Yuetong's cheeks: "Wake up, Yuetong, don't scare me..."
In her hazy state, Yu Yuetong felt as if she were floating on clouds. She heard Qin Reng's anxious voice in her ears, but she couldn't respond. She felt her consciousness gradually slipping away, as if she were about to experience another out-of-body experience.
No way... it can't be happening again...
Her premonition soon came true. When she regained consciousness, she found herself lying in a hospital bed, with "herself" sitting beside her, staring at her anxiously.
