Chapter 522: Day 210 Gift Pack
Chapter 522: Day 210 Gift Pack
The Black Qilin and the Unicorn were both reluctant to leave, but they didn’t dare to disobey Xu Yi’s orders.
So, they watched Xu Yi leave and stood silently in place.
Refusing to look back meant certain death.
In such a frigid environment, they wouldn’t last long.
Xu Yi didn’t linger and quickly returned to Lu Ke and the others.
Su Yan, tactfully, didn’t ask any questions and walked out of the tent with everyone.
They still had to hurry on their journey, with a few hours left before nightfall.
But they hadn’t even walked half an hour when Xu Yi and the others were forced to stop.
Snow, a blizzard.
The road ahead was obscured, and the howling winds made even their Telekinesis Field feel as if it was freezing.
So, they stopped and quickly dug several snow caves.
They dug a large hole three to four meters underground, and then dug smaller holes branching from it.
This way, they could accommodate everyone and the mounts.
The snowstorm was so intense, even the mounts couldn’t stay outside.
Someone had to guard the entrance, using telekinesis to seal the doorway to prevent snow from blocking it.
So, they had to take turns guarding; otherwise, in a couple of hours or less, they would be buried in snow.
The others sat cross-legged in the snow cave to rest or cultivate, waiting for the blizzard to pass.
The blizzard lasted for five to six hours before it gradually subsided. By then, it was around 10 p.m.
So, they continued to cultivate in the snow cave.
In no time, days had passed.
"System, clock in."
"Ding, completed seven consecutive days of clocking in, received a Basic Gift Package."
This was the gift package for the 210th day of clocking in.
This also meant Xu Yi and the others had been at the new challenge point for five days.
Unfortunately, they were still in the snowfield with no signs of leaving, and it was getting colder.
Additionally, they hadn’t reached the territory of level 5 Fierce Beasts.
But Xu Yi felt he was getting closer.
For now, it was better to focus on the gift package he just received.
"System, open the gift package."
Xu Yi said in his mind, waiting for the system to bring him a surprise.
"Ding, received an A-level Life Support System. [This system allows the user to survive comfortably in any environment] (Basic)"
Upon hearing this, Xu Yi frowned.
A Life Support System that can be used in any situation?
It sounded incredibly impressive.
The system said it was under any environment.
Meaning, with this Life Support System, one could live even in outer space.
In such a harsh cold, it could also be used.
However, wouldn’t the Spirit Race notice if it was used?
And right now, Xu Yi felt he didn’t really need this Life Support System.
Thus, Xu Yi considered it rather superfluous.
He glanced at his System Space and saw the Life Support System, which looked like two bracelets.
Not particularly conspicuous, so Xu Yi took them out and put them on his hands.
After wearing them, Xu Yi felt an energy field form around him, enveloping his body without affecting others.
Then, Xu Yi noticed the oxygen became richer, the temperature more comfortable, and even the humidity became ideal.
The extreme cold became irrelevant to him.
The Spiritual Force Field and Telekinesis Field could block out the cold, but not completely, nor could they make one’s surroundings warm.
However, the Life Support System accomplished this.
Additionally, Xu Yi could feel the system drawing energy from the ’Spiritual Energy’, making the energy around him even denser.
This function instantly heightened the value of the system for Xu Yi.
After putting it on, Xu Yi was reluctant to take it off.
Hidden under his sleeve, Xu Yi stood up.
If the Spirit Race became suspicious, he could immediately store it back in his System Space. The Spirit Race had no means to access his System Space.
After exiting the snow cave, Xu Yi set up his tent and began preparing breakfast.
The others gradually emerged from the snow cave as well.
After breakfast, they resumed their journey.
In these days, they had gotten used to such circumstances.
The journey remained dull and tedious, using telekinesis to fend off the bitter cold, with nothing particularly noteworthy occurring.
The temperature was still very low and showed a tendency to drop even further.
Just like that, another five days passed in the blink of an eye.
This meant they had been in this new challenge area for ten days.
Yet, they hadn’t reached the territory of level 5 Fierce Beasts.
In these ten days, they hadn’t made any progress, even though they were using telekinesis to overclock their abilities daily to train.
"Green, you all see, is that green plants?"
Lu Ke suddenly exclaimed excitedly, after all, she was sitting in front of Xu Yi, who often had his eyes closed.
Xu Yi immediately opened his eyes and looked into the distance.
Indeed, it was green, a deep green.
After ten days without seeing any, the sight of green made everyone delighted, urging their mounts to rush forward.
"Don’t rush over just yet, let the Fierce Beasts scout the way first." Saying that, Xu Yi dismounted.
Although the greenery ahead looked like plants,
they resembled cacti, with no leaves, just a main stem, but much larger in size, with a diameter of over half a meter.
Additionally, they were quite tall, at least thirty meters high.
The surface was also covered in spikes.
Therefore, Xu Yi suspected there might be danger and planned to send a mount in to scout ahead first.
Sometimes, Spiritual Power couldn’t detect some dangers.
Moreover, with the distance being over a hundred meters, Xu Yi couldn’t sense anything.
Under Xu Yi’s command, a mount charged towards the ’forest’, heading for one of the plants.
Then, they all saw many spikes from the tree shoot towards the mount.
However, that Fierce Beast mount used its telekinesis to block the spikes and was not harmed.
"It is somewhat dangerous, but it seems manageable," Xu Yi said happily as he stroked his chin.
After all, if the danger level wasn’t high, it wouldn’t be a problem for them.
Everyone present was far stronger than that Fierce Beast.
Still, Xu Yi sent the remaining Fierce Beasts over.
Then they noticed that as long as they approached those giant ’cacti’, the spikes would shoot towards the approaching target.
Not very dangerous, but definitely troublesome.
If one’s telekinesis fell short, they might get injured by the spikes.
Also, because of the long distance, Xu Yi couldn’t determine whether these spikes contained deadly toxins.
