Chapter 890 A Shock
Chapter 890 A Shock
Kakashi's body jolted, his face turning pale, but he still gritted his teeth, enduring the excruciating pain to prevent himself from collapsing.
"Damn it!" Kakashi roared, his right hand crackling with electricity again, but the crackling gradually slowed down due to his injuries and the interference from the enemy's clones.
At that moment, Minato swiftly appeared beside Kakashi, the mark of the Flying Thunder God Technique already attached to his hand. Minato's figure flashed, instantly appearing behind the enemy, his kunai flying out rapidly, precisely neutralizing the enemy's projectile attack. Without pausing, he vanished, reappearing before Kakashi, and without hesitation placed his hand on Kakashi's wound, circulating his chakra.
"You can't continue, Kakashi," Minato said, his voice heavy with worry. "If you don't receive treatment, your injuries will get worse."
Kakashi gave a disdainful smile: "I'm fine, Minato-sensei. It's just that these guys are too weak to stop me."
"Kakashi, stop being so stubborn!" Minato's voice was filled with both anger and concern. His fingers had already applied a healing jutsu to Kakashi's wound, and chakra quickly flowed into Kakashi's body, relieving his pain. "You can't be so arrogant anymore. You're the captain, not just someone else's life."
Kakashi frowned slightly, a hint of pain and struggle flashing in his eyes: "I don't need anyone's help, I can complete the mission!"
“You are strong, Kakashi, but you are not a god.” Minato took a deep breath, his tone becoming calmer. “You have a responsibility to protect the entire team, not to fight alone.”
Obito stood to the side, his eyes filled with worry. He wanted to get closer, but Zhang Hai gently stopped him with his hand.
“Let Minato handle this.” Zhang Hai’s eyes were calm and composed, but his words were full of power. “What Kakashi needs now is healing, not arguments.”
Obito's eyes dimmed, and he said in a low voice, "Why is Kakashi always so stubborn?"
Zhang Hai gazed at Kakashi and said calmly, "This is part of his growth process. Everyone has to go through a period of struggle, and Kakashi is currently on that path."
Just then, the enemy's second wave of attack began. The air was thick with killing intent. Although Kakashi's injuries had eased, they clearly affected his fighting ability. Minato stood beside him, ready to strike again.
"Are you ready?" Minato asked, his eyes filled with a chilling killing intent. "Our goal hasn't changed: to destroy the Kannabi Bridge. No matter what, we cannot fail."
Kakashi took a deep breath and replied in a low voice, "I'm ready. I won't let the team down."
"Kakashi, stop taking all the blame alone." Obito walked slowly to Kakashi's side, his tone gentle. "We are a team, remember that."
Kakashi's gaze paused slightly. He lowered his head and finally nodded: "I understand."
As the mission progressed, a tense atmosphere filled the air. Kakashi's steps were firm, his White Fang blade ready, his eyes filled with determination. However, just as he was about to launch his attack, Minato's calm and resolute voice rang out: "Kakashi, stop!"
Kakashi paused, his brow furrowed, and turned to meet Minato's responsible gaze. "Minato-sensei, I know what to do! This is my first mission as a Jonin, and I must prove myself to everyone, to myself!" His voice was full of confidence, but also tinged with impatience and unspeakable pressure.
Minato's gaze remained unchanged, but his tone was serious: "I know you're strong, Kakashi, but you can't rely solely on your own strength. You're the captain; every decision you make could affect the fate of the entire team." He took a deep breath, approached Kakashi, and said in a low voice, "You need to understand that battle isn't just about individual strength; you need teamwork and practical tactics. Your choice of the Chidori technique is too conspicuous. Its sound will reveal our location, and when you threaten the enemy, you'll expose yourself to their attacks. You can't be so impulsive!"
Kakashi gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, his gaze hardening. "I don't need you to teach me," he replied coldly, a flicker of displeasure in his eyes. "I have my own way, and I'll prove myself!"
“Kakashi…” Minato sighed deeply, his eyes filled with worry and concern. “You want to surpass your father’s image, don’t you? You don’t want to live in the shadow of Konoha’s White Fang, you want to prove yourself, but you have to understand that not everything can be done alone. You have to consider the consequences.”
Kakashi's expression changed slightly upon hearing this. He lowered his head, his eyes dimming, as if he were caught in a deep inner pain and struggle. From a young age, Kakashi carried the expectations of his father, the White Fang of Konoha. Although he was exceptionally talented and became a Jonin at a young age, his father's glorious image always overshadowed him, preventing him from escaping it. He wanted to surpass his father, yet he always felt like he was running away from something. The inner confusion and fear of failure prevented him from letting go of these burdens.
Obito watched silently, his heart filled with turmoil. His gaze was lowered, deeply sensing Kakashi's loneliness and pain. Although Kakashi's unwavering confidence made him impeccable within the team, Obito could see that behind Kakashi's strength lay an unbearable burden. Obito murmured to himself, "I'm such a useless guy… Even Kakashi is fighting for his father's image, and I can't do anything right…"
"Obito?" Zhang Hai noticed Obito's dejection, walked to his side, and said in a low and gentle voice, "Why don't you try to express it?"
Obito snapped out of his reverie and looked up at Zhang Hai. "Express it?" He frowned. "I just feel like I'm not important enough in the team. Kakashi is always so strong, and I..."
Zhang Hai gently patted Obito's shoulder. "You don't need to compare yourself to Kakashi. Everyone has different strengths, and you have your own value. You are stronger than you think."
Obito looked at Zhang Hai, a complex emotion in his eyes. "I know... but I always feel that I am far inferior to him." He sighed softly, "He is the son of Konoha's White Fang, and he is exceptionally talented, while I am just an ordinary ninja who cannot fight alongside him."
“Everyone’s growth process is different.” Zhang Hai’s gaze was firm. “You must remember that the power of a team is the strongest. You are not alone. You have teammates, and you also have your own responsibilities and missions.”
